EMCC is delighted to announce Coaching Outdoors as the winners of the 2020 Coaching Award.

The EMCC Global Awards Selection Panel awarded Coaching Outdoors as an organisation for combining their two passions of coaching and the outdoors, into two innovative and inspiring programmes (interactive and online) which are an impactful and effective way for coaches to reconnect with the natural world. As coaches, they can create truly positive impact around the human response to the ever evolving climate and biodiversity crises - and Coaching Outdoors seems to catalyse just that. The programmes also support the coaches’ development as well as that of their clients, whilst strengthening their relationship with nature - something that's been a 'life-saver' for many during the pandemic.

Why invite nature to co-facilitate with you?

Inviting nature into our coaching relationships has many benefits. For example, as a way to access and connect with emotions, providing moments of opportunity for exploring edges or a way into the sub-conscious through the abundant metaphors on offer.

Imagine the power of each coaching session if you could work at a deeply reasonant level with your clients and feel that it came naturally!

Is this virtual programme for you?

Are you a coach with at least 100 coaching hours, who already does some work outdoors? Would you like to make the most of what nature can offer to the coaching conversation and experience? Then this is for you.

Coaching clients outdoors can be so much more powerful than simply ‘walking and talking’. Integrating nature into the relationship can accelerate emotional processing, deepen insights and unlock creativity.

This event introduces you to making the most of what nature can offer for you and your client. Bringing nature consciously into the coaching experience and conversation as a working partner is what this programme is about.

Programme Outline

The programme is designed to explore all that nature has to offer in the way of co-facilitator.  And, to encourage you to grow your confidence in working with the opportunities that nature provides for both coach and client.

Join Lesley (MSc Executive Coaching, EMCC Senior Practitioner) for our virtual programme using on-line tools to provide bite-size learning modules, in a blended learning format, that you can access whenever suits you.

It’s an opportunity to develop, reflect, nurture yourself and connect with your place in the natural world, then bring all of this to your life and coaching work.

By the end you’ll feel confident collaborating with nature in your coaching conversations.

Feedback

“I can honestly say this programme is far exceeding my expectations. I had hoped it would give me some different techniques to think about and perhaps meet some like-minded people, but it has gone way beyond that. I feel it has allowed me to reconnect with nature in a rich and supportive way, in a way I hadn’t realised I needed. It has revealed so much more that I can bring to my clients in the way you have encouraged - experimentation and sharing.

You have provided such an open and engaging approach that is both leading us and learning with us - you have that rare quality where you bring expertise without losing the sense that you are one of us on the journey. It is a real gift to have you with us. I appreciate the diverse learning methods (videos, articles, exercises) and the interaction with others on Facebook and on the calls. It is not often that I attend a course where I feel the experience has been so impactful, so moving, that I know I will carry it with me for a long time.”
