Running part-time over 2 weeks, this experiential course is designed to provide inspiration, confidence and conviction for coaches and line managers to begin your outdoor coaching practice. You will finish feeling engaged, inspired and equipped to run outdoor coaching sessions with your clients or direct reports.

The programme role models coaching outdoors, and virtually, with nature.

Join Lesley (MSc Executive Coaching, EMCC Master Practitioner) for our virtual programme using on-line tools to provide bite-size learning modules, in a blended learning format, that you can access whenever suits you.

“For me this course was an opportunity to combine two of my passions, exploring nature and people development. The reality has been so much more than that. Breaking the shackles of the boardroom and taking coaching conversations outdoors has far more value than I ever expected. I encourage you to explore for yourself. I briefed my team today on coaching outdoors, there was some initial scepticism, but when I outlined what we had learnt so far they really got it. I think we are going to be busy!”

- Barry Chamberlain, Company Head

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A knowledge of coaching beforehand is essential.  The programme does not teach how to coach but how to combine working with Nature while you coach.

If your grasp of coaching is good, then no qualification is necessary.  For example, if you know, understand and use the GROW model, are clear on contracting and follow a coaching code of ethics, then you’d have a good grounding.

  • We have people from all over the world participate, the programme is designed to allow you to learn at your own pace each day.

We do have optional Zoom/Teams calls, which are normally around 10am UK time but we may alter to accommodate the time zones of participants.  We also record them for anyone that cannot attend.

  • There are 3 virtual Zoom/Teams get-togethers during the programme, for an hour each.  Normally they are around 10am UK time but we try to arrange these at a time that is appropriate for all participants.  Times will be finalised 2 months before the program starts, when we know the locations of participants.

These sessions will also be recorded for anyone that is unable to attend.

  • Of course, the programme is manageable around a full-time job. Each (week) day you will receive an email with a link to your learning, the content of which will be approximately 20 minutes. We also suggest you schedule a walk each day, for around 30 minutes, to allow yourself time to reflect on your learnings. Many participants also find journaling useful to support them through the programme.

There are 3 optional group Zoom/Teams calls, each for an hour, which are designed for you to learn from and share your journey with your cohort. They also give you the opportunity to ask questions and gain new insights. These sessions are recorded for anyone that cannot attend.

During the programme we also ask you to diarise an outdoor coaching session with a peer or client. This should be someone who could provide you with feedback after the session. It will allow you the opportunity to put into practice what you have learnt during the programme.

  • Whilst it’s best to select programme dates where you’ll have time to participate, and to set aside time for the learning, we appreciate that life happens and we role model ‘meeting you where you are at’.  The programme is made up of daily bite-sized nuggets of experiential learning, designed to flex around other commitments.  If you miss a day or two, then you can choose when to catch up.  Whilst we advocate completing the programme as it unfolds, we keep the modules open for 2 weeks after the course, should anyone need to catchup, or wish to review the content further.

  • Sharing learnings, insights and asking questions with peers and facilitator either in virtual calls, the optional private Facebook group or over email.

Completing a feedback form which also asks about learnings and application from the programme.

  • This is all handled automatically by the card payment provider.

Once you get to the actual payment screen, you should get the payment options.

When ‘X country’ is selected in the Billing Address in the card payment form (rather than just our registration form) it will then automatically remove the VAT.
