You will finish feeling engaged, inspired and equipped to run outdoor coaching sessions with your clients or direct reports.
Join Lesley (MSc Executive Coaching, EMCC Senior Practitioner, 2020 EMCC Global Coaching Award Winner) for our virtual programme using on-line tools to provide bite-size learning modules, in a blended learning format, that you can access whenever suits you.
Throughout the course we will cover:-
The benefits for organisations, clients and the coach
The logistics of being outside: venue, clothing, kit, weather etc.
The experience for coach and coachee
Contracting and psychological safety
“For me this course was an opportunity to combine two of my passions, exploring nature and people development. The reality has been so much more than that.
Breaking the shackles of the boardroom and taking coaching conversations outdoors has far more value than I ever expected. I encourage you to explore for yourself. I briefed my team today on coaching outdoors, there was some initial scepticism, but when I outlined what we had learnt so far they really got it. I think we are going to be busy!”
- Barry Chamberlain, Company Head
An introduction from Lesley Roberts.
COGS awarded the EMCC Global Coaching Award.
The EMCC Global Awards Selection Panel awarded Coaching Outdoors as an organisation for combining their two passions of coaching and the outdoors, into two innovative and inspiring programmes (interactive and online) which are an impactful and effective way for coaches to reconnect with the natural world. The programmes supports the coaches’ development as well as that of their clients, whilst strengthening their relationship with nature.
Why Coach Outdoors?
It is now widely acknowledged that a connection to the natural world enhances our physical and psychological wellbeing.
Businesses are recognising the efficient benefits for their leaders of simultaneously improving wellbeing while developing through coaching.
In a natural setting both client and coach find a sense of deeper awareness, creativity in solutions and accelerated progress compared to an office environment.
Is this virtual programme for you?
Are you a coach who would like to work with clients outside? A line manager who would like to have one to one conversations with your team outdoors? Then this is for you.
Our virtual programme can be accessed flexibly from home and will enable you to confidently take your coaching conversations outside.
The learning time commitment is being able to take a walk most days and spend around 30 minutes reading and writing.

“I'm part way through this great program at the moment and it's opened my eyes even more to the benefits of coaching - and being coached - in nature. It lifts boundaries, lifts spirits and elevates the outcomes!”
Liz Clayton-Jones, Coach
“Lesley you and your programme are truly an inspiration. Your course was a little oasis for me during the last 2 weeks and most definitely reconnected me to the outdoors, the power of blue and green space as a leader, coach and importantly as a human.
Thank you.”
Amanda Nelson, HRD at QuinteiQ
“I’m taking bucket-loads from this experience and the sharing in the group, so thank you!”
